Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our NP-led clinic in Medicine Hat. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across diverse settings, including pediatrics, senior care, and chronic disease management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across diverse patient populations.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines.
- Develop individualized care plans and coordinate case management for complex patients.
- Utilize electronic health records (Accuro) to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medication use, and preventive care strategies.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children (pediatrics), seniors (senior care), or in nursing home environments is desirable.
- Background in hospital or acute care settings will be a plus.
- Prior exposure to medical terminology, medication administration, laboratory procedures, and case management is essential.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification.
- Approved into the Alberta NPPCP Program. Assistance with the application is available.

Pay: $60.00-$200.00 per hour
