Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented team member to join our grocery team.
This role is a mix of cashier and floor support, including helping customers at the till, stocking shelves, maintaining store presentation, and supporting daily operations across the grocery department.
Many of our customers are regulars — building relationships and creating a welcoming experience is a big part of this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service at the till and on the floor
- Accurately process transactions and handle cash/card payments
- Maintain strong product knowledge to assist customers with questions
- Stock shelves, face products, and ensure displays are clean and organized
- Monitor product freshness and rotate stock (FIFO)
- Receive and put away deliveries as needed
- Keep aisles and backstock areas clean and organized
- Support other departments when needed during busy periods
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and supervisors
- Help maintain an efficient, well-stocked, and welcoming store environment
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Previous retail or grocery experience is an asset (not required for the right candidate)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg
- Comfortable being on your feet for most of the shift
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a growing small business
- Interest in natural foods, supplements, or local products is a strong asset
