Rideout Management is a growing hotel management company responsible for the operation of multiple hotel properties across Northwestern Ontario. Our Winnipeg head office supports hotel operations, accounting, payroll, human resources, procurement, and development projects.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative & Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and supporting a growing business. The successful candidate will assist with bookkeeping, administrative functions, reporting, and day-to-day office operations.
Position Summary
The Administrative & Accounting Assistant will provide bookkeeping and administrative support to the management team and hotel properties. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational processes, and ensuring information is organized and up to date.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping
- Enter invoices, expenses, and financial transactions into QuickBooks Online.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Prepare and issue invoices as required.
- Monitor outstanding accounts and assist with collections follow-up.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end bookkeeping procedures.
- Maintain organized electronic financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with payroll preparation and employee records.
- Support the accounting team with financial reporting and special projects.
Administrative Support
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain company records.
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports, forms, and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain electronic filing systems.
- Assist with employee onboarding documentation and administrative paperwork.
- Support hotel managers with administrative requests and documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers as required.
- Assist with scheduling meetings and maintaining project trackers.
- Support general office administration and special projects.
Reporting & Systems
- Maintain operational and financial tracking spreadsheets.
- Assist with updating databases and management systems.
- Support the use of QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365, Excel, Monday.com, and other company software platforms.
- Ensure information is accurate, complete, and properly documented.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience using or willingness to learn QuickBooks Online.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Professional and confidential handling of sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Experience with payroll administration.
- Familiarity with Monday.com or other project management software.
- Experience working in hospitality, property management, construction, or a service-based business is considered an asset.
