Job Title: Maintenance Assistant – Manufacturing Labour
Location: Nisku, AB
Schedule: Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Evening Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Safety Sensitive: Criminal Background Check, Drug & Alcohol Testing and Mask Fit Test Required
Our client is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support manufacturing operations by assembling and testing ESP components in a production environment, ensuring safety, quality, and reliability at every stage.
What’s the Job?
- Manufacture and test equipment such as pumps, intakes, seals, and electric motors following established procedures
- Adhere to detailed safety and production processes to maintain high-quality standards
- Operate overhead cranes and perform manual material handling (lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Input monthly safety and risk reports using digital systems
- Complete required online training and maintain up-to-date safety certifications
- Conduct daily preventative maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support production goals, including occasional overtime as needed
What’s Needed?
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is an asset
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and safety protocols
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting and equipment operation
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record check, drug screening, and fit testing
- Basic computer skills for digital reporting and training completion
- Strong teamwork skills and a dependable work ethic
