Key Responsibilities
As the General Manager, you will oversee construction operations and lead cross-functional teams to drive performance, profitability, and strategic growth.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across construction, estimating, and project management functions to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Evaluate construction methods, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Project Oversight & Execution
- Participate in meetings to review project scope, specifications, and strategy.
- Ensure project plans meet client expectations while maintaining efficiency and cost control throughout execution.
Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand operations and increase profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support long-term growth.
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering leadership capabilities and succession readiness within the team.
- Promote a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all safety programs are effectively implemented and adhered to across operations.
- Oversee incident investigations, enforce compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in construction, including leadership roles with increasing responsibility.
- Experience overseeing construction operations, project management, and estimating functions.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment utilization, and safety practices.
- Excellent computer skills – Word, Excel and email.

- Exceptional leadership, management, and supervisory skills with the ability to drive team performance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a relationship-focused approach to leadership and business development.
