This Winnipeg-based role involves occasional travel to project sites and reports directly to senior leadership.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall financial, contractual, scheduling, and subcontractor management aspects of assigned projects. This individual will work closely with internal teams, owners, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and successfully.
- Lead project meetings and maintain communication with owners, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Ensure construction activities comply with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Coordinate project handoffs between estimating and operations teams.
- Manage project documentation and submittal processes.
- Develop and maintain schedules and communicate project progress to management.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and staffing requirements.
- Oversee implementation of project-specific safety programs and documentation.
- Work closely with safety personnel to maintain compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
- Prepare cash flow reports and assist with financial forecasting.
- Procure and manage subcontractors, including negotiating scopes, pricing, and contracts.
- Monitor productivity and promote the use of field tracking and reporting tools.
- Track quantities and maintain project budgets to ensure profitability.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience within the construction industry.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain security clearance and successfully complete pre-employment testing.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and OpenSpace.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and AutoCAD.
- Exposure to BIM, VDC, drones, and other digital construction technologies.
- Experience working on large-scale or remote construction projects.
- Knowledge of productivity tracking, time-entry, and safety reporting systems.
