Concrete finisher
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects including new construction, restoration, and renovation, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with experience in blueprint reading, heavy equipment operation, and concrete forming are highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision and craftsmanship in concrete work.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes
- Install rebar and perform concrete forming according to schematics and blueprints
- Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, cranes, or compactors safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for project specifications
- Perform masonry tasks including caulking, restoration, and flooring installation as needed
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to form building and structural support
- Conduct welding or other fabrication tasks to support concrete installation when required
- Ensure proper placement of reinforcement materials like rebar for structural integrity
- Maintain a clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members on renovation projects involving concrete finishing and masonry work
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction fields
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, machinery, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and concrete forms
- Knowledge of rebar installation, caulking, welding, flooring installation, and restoration techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and protocols
- Experience with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in finishing work
- Physical stamina for long hours working outdoors or in confined spaces in various weather conditions
