Qualifications must include:
minimum level 2 with infant, toddler and preschool certification with AECENL ( Association of early childhood educators of Newfoundland and Labrador)
current Police Records check and Vulnerable sector check from Newfoundland and Labrador
current first aid certification required for administration ( 2 day course)
minimum of 3-5 years experience of working in center based childcare within Newfoundland and Labrador
Administrator duties include; ( accepted candidate will receive support from licensees and fellow administrator on the following as needed)
Providing quality and compassionate guidance for the staff and the children in your care. Completing necessary office duties while working with the Office administrator with; sending emails, filing documents, answering telephone calls, ensuring staff are equipped with necessary forms and documents to complete their daily tasks. Administrator is responsible for scheduling staff shifts and appointment times and holidays. Also to ensure staff maintain up to date certification and necessary training. To schedule professional development opportunities both in person and online. Connecting with fellow administrators from our other locations to arrange center wide cohesion and ensure that all centers are adequately staffed. Complete purchase orders for new materials and equipment and ensure the centers kitchen is adequately stocked.
Work in ratio as needed
Cleaning duties include; diapering, sweeping, mopping, small garbage collection, maintaining cleanliness and organization of homerooms
Homeroom duties include; daily, weekly, monthly planning, maintaining attendance register, working with fellow employees supervising during outside play.
