Estimator (Mechanical & Civil)

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in Surrey, BC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project specifications, and supporting the sales and project management teams to ensure accurate and competitive project bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret mechanical and civil drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Prepare accurate material take-offs and cost estimates
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for projects
- Request and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare and submit project bids and pricing proposals
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates and project files
- Work closely with the sales and project management teams
Qualifications
- Experience reading and interpreting mechanical and civil drawings (preferable)
- Previous estimating experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
