Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Student Intern – Engineering, reporting to the Manager, Pipeline Integrity. This is a full-time position based out of our Calgary Head Office. This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills, attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to multi-task.
Summary of Responsibilities:
· Follow Tidewater’s Life Saving Rules while contributing the company’s strong safety culture
· Support the Pipeline Integrity Team by analyzing inspection, non-destructive examination, and repair data. File information according to company data management requirements and prepare reports as needed
· Support with the review and storage of data obtained from Cathodic Protection surveys, right of way surveillance records, geotechnical reports and pipeline inhibition programs including pigging
· Collaborate with the upload of pipeline integrity repair data into the Asset Integrity Program (Irth) ensuring proper feature alignment with repair data as well as GIS information
· Support planning work including budgeting for all pipeline integrity related activities, and development of long-range plans
· Assist with pipeline governance document updates, support internal and external audits as needed.
· Support process updates including automation of upstream pipeline risk assessments, key performance indicators, and pipeline reliability metrics
Qualifications/Skills:
· Currently enrolled in second or third year of an Engineering program and able to complete the full length of this work assignment
· Proficient Microsoft Office user, Python programing experience, data management and artificial intelligence tools
· Strong team player able to establish relationships with other company departments, take initiative and solve problems
· Dependable, able to work independently with a strong thirst for knowledge
· Available for occasional field trips targeting key operations to enhance the intern experience
