Mariwell Cannabis is seeking a dependable and hardworking Horticultural Labourer to join our outdoor cannabis cultivation team for the growing season. This position involves hands-on outdoor farm work including all aspects related to planting, crop maintenance, harvesting, and post-harvest activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys physical outdoor work and are interested in agriculture, horticulture, or cannabis cultivation.
Responsibilities
- Planting and transplanting cannabis plants
- Watering, weeding, pruning, and trellising crops
- Assisting with irrigation and field maintenance
- Monitoring plant health and reporting issues
- Harvesting cannabis plants during peak season
- Hanging, trimming, and processing harvested product
- Cleaning and sanitizing tools, equipment, and work areas
- Following all company safety procedures and Health Canada's compliance regulations
- Performing general farm labour duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Assets
- Previous farm, greenhouse, landscaping, or horticulture experience
- Experience working with cannabis plants
- Knowledge of irrigation systems or crop maintenance considered and asset but not required
- Food Safety Certificate considered an asset but not required
Working Conditions
