tend is a curated on-demand childcare platform connecting families with experienced caregivers for in-home care. Parents search by date, time, and location, see which sitters are available, and book directly through the platform.
We are currently looking to add a small number of caregivers with weekday daytime availability, particularly in Oakville, Burlington, Milton, and Mississauga.
We are especially interested in caregivers who are available for:
- weekday daytime bookings
- before-school support
- daytime backup care
- daycare stand-downs and short-notice care
Location
We are currently prioritizing caregivers located in:
- Oakville
- Burlington
- Milton
- Hamilton
This opportunity may be a good fit for:
- Registered Early Childhood Educators
- teachers
- nurses or healthcare professionals
- experienced nannies
- experienced babysitters with several years of childcare experience
- child and youth care workers
- individuals with formal education in child development or psychology

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of childcare experience
- Strong comfort with infants, toddlers, or school-aged children
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check within 24 months
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
(BLS for healthcare providers also accepted)
- Two childcare references
- Government-issued ID

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

A current Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required to join tend.

- Do you have at least 2 years of prior childcare experience?
Examples may include nannying, daycare, camp leadership, teaching, educational support, babysitting, or other child-focused roles.
