As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a driven Account Executive who can blend customer relationship management with technical sales and estimating to help expand our client base and strengthen our position in the building automation industry.
Job Description
The Account Executive will serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing customers, responsible for managing relationships, preparing quotations, and driving project opportunities. This role combines a customer-facing approach with the ability to develop accurate, competitive proposals for electrical and control system projects.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the main liaison between clients and Atlas Automation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, consultants, and facility owners.
- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and proactively pursue new business in the building automation and controls market.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand system needs and propose appropriate solutions.
- Represent Atlas Automation at trade shows, industry events, and professional networking functions.
Quotations & Estimating
- Review project drawings, specifications, and RFP documents to define scope and system requirements.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for building automation and electrical system projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop budgets, timelines, and technical proposals.
- Coordinate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective quotations.
- Maintain organized documentation for bids, proposals, and project handovers.
Strategic Growth
- Support business development initiatives and pursuit strategies in collaboration with company leadership.
- Track market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
- Contribute to marketing and outreach efforts to strengthen Atlas Automation’s brand presence in Western Canada.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in account management, estimating, or sales within the building automation, electrical, or HVAC controls sector.
- Experience with Honeywell or Niagara-based systems considered a strong asset.
Education:
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of electrical and control systems, BMS technologies, and automation architectures.
- Proficiency with estimating tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for growth.

Pay: $100,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
