Duties
- Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including bread, cakes, pastries, and specialty desserts with precision and flair
- Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques such as piping, icing, and fondant to create visually appealing products
- Follow established recipes and adjust ingredients as needed to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Package baked items carefully for retail display or takeout orders, ensuring freshness and presentation are preserved
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling products
- Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders while upholding excellent customer service standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a bakery, pastry shop, or restaurant environment is highly preferred
- Strong skills in cake decorating, food handling, and baking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service
- Familiarity with food industry standards for quality control and packaging processes
- Kitchen experience involving food preparation, cooking, and presentation is essential
