About the Role
We are seeking a hardworking, reliable, and customer-focused Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining residential properties, and is committed to providing excellent service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Carpentry (rough and finish work)
- Interior painting and touch-ups
- Drywall installation and repairs
- Tile installation and repairs
- Minor renovations and suite improvements
- Countertop and cabinet installation
- Junk and debris removal
- Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance (not requiring a licence)
- Basic electrical repairs and maintenance (not requiring a licence)
- General property maintenance and repairs
- Preparing vacant units for new residents
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Be bondable and able to pass a criminal record check
- Hold a valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills
- Be dependable, flexible, and able to work independently
- Maintain a positive, professional, and friendly attitude
- Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Be committed to providing quality workmanship
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position that requires:
- Frequent lifting and carrying of materials and equipment
- Bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
- Working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments
Work Schedule
Most work is performed during regular daytime hours; however, occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet operational needs and respond to maintenance emergencies.
Experience
Previous maintenance, construction, renovation, or property management experience is considered an asset. We welcome applications from both experienced tradespeople and motivated individuals looking to develop their skills through on-the-job training.
