Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Retail Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, retail sales, and customer service, with the ability to create beautiful floral arrangements and assist customers in selecting the perfect flowers for any occasion. Duties
- Cleaning, processing, and wrapping flowers for retail sales
- Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related merchandise, providing expert advice on floral care and design options.
- Operate cash register for sales transactions, handle cash and electronic payments accurately.
- Maintain the visual merchandising of the store to ensure an attractive and organized display of products.
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and monitor floral stock quality.
- Support e-commerce sales by managing online orders and updating product listings.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a welcoming shopping environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including flower preparation stations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in florals is required, and retail experience is an asset
- Ability to lift and move 50+ pound buckets, this is a very physically demanding role
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising techniques.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and customer orders efficiently.
