OVERVIEW
Our client, a leading commercial and industrial mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC and plumbing, are searching for an experienced HVAC Gas Technician to join their team. The company prides themselves on delivering high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions to clients across Northern Ontario.
Reporting to the VP, the technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining residential and commercial HVAC and gas-fired equipment. The successful candidate will diagnose and repair equipment issues, perform safety inspections, and deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Install, service, and maintain furnaces and air conditioning units
· Diagnose, repair, and maintain boilers and hydronic heating systems
· Install, service, and repair water heaters
· Inspect, troubleshoot, and service gas fireplaces
· Maintain and repair rooftop units and other HVAC equipment
· Install and modify gas piping and venting systems
· Perform equipment diagnostics and safety inspections
· Identify system issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions
· Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, codes, and standards
· Maintain accurate service records and documentation
REQUIREMENTS
· Valid Gas Technician (G2) License (TSSA) is mandatory
· 1+ year of related HVAC and gas technician experience
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
· Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service
