Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status.
We are searching for a part-time Settlement Worker to provide settlement information and referral services to immigrants and refugees to aid in their settlement and integration into the community.

Provide client-centered settlement counselling services, including assessment, information and orientation at CCS offices and other community partner locations.
Use initial assessment of newcomers to develop personalized settlement plans.
Provide case management and supportive follow-up.
Facilitate appropriate internal/external referrals to services required by clients that are not been provided by the program.
Organize, plan, facilitate group sessions as required by contract, and are in line by client needs.
Develop and implement community outreach plans to promote CCS programs and services.
Maintain and update all client information in the CCS database.
Prepare and submit timely statistical and progress reports as required.
Actively participate in regular program, team and agency wide meetings, and trainings
Collaborate with the manager to develop and implement initiatives and/or focus activities to address newcomer needs.
Meet all program goals as assigned
Evening, weekend and Off-site work at CCS & outreach/partner locations is required
What are we looking for?
Social Service Work diploma or Social Work degree from recognized institution or equivalent training in community work sectors
Minimum of 2 -3 years’ work experience in the settlement and/or community work sectors.
Ability to engage clients via online communication tools such as Zoom, Teams, and Google classroom, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram etc.
Ability to build and maintain strong, ongoing partnerships community agencies
Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills with participants, other agencies and the public.
Excellent oral and written skills in English and a second language such as Amharic, Tigrinya, Polish, Spanish, or Tagalog is an asset
Driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset
Location: Mississauga, ON
Compensation: $29.67 – $33.02 based on experience
Hours of work: 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime is required
