As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an organized, motivated, and professional Receptionist / Office Assistant to join our team.
Position Summary
This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, vendors, and employees while providing administrative support to our Accounting and Office Administration team.
Although this role is primarily reception-focused, it also offers exposure to accounting and finance functions. The successful candidate will assist with accounts payable data entry, filing, and administrative support, making this an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing a career in accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Office Administration
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
- Welcome visitors and assist with general inquiries
- Monitor and respond to incoming emails
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and documents
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems
- Order and maintain office supplies
- Assist various departments with administrative tasks
- Perform general office duties as required
Accounting Support
- Enter accounts payable invoices into the accounting system
- File and organize accounting documentation
- Assist with invoice matching and document preparation
- Assist with various accounting and finance administrative duties
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a receptionist or office support role is an asset, but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude
- Reliable with excellent attendance
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with accounts payable or accounting administration is considered an asset
- Interest in pursuing a career in accounting or finance is highly desirable
