Material Handler/Forklift Operator – Red River Galvanizing

Compensation: Starting at $18.00, depending on experience and qualifications
About the Role
We are hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to support daily operations in our galvanizing facility. This is an outdoor position involving loading and unloading trucks, counting materials, and assisting with general yard tasks. If you’re reliable, physically capable, and comfortable working in an industrial environment, this could be a good fit.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload parts from trucks for processing
- Assist with material handling and movement of product
- Count and document incoming and outgoing materials
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support production staff as needed
Requirements
- Minimum one year experience operating forklifts
- Experience loading trucks is preferred
- Ability to perform physical work (standing, lifting, repetitive tasks)
- Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of workplace safety
- Previous galvanizing or labour experience is an asset but not required
