Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee all areas of the property
- Enforce security protocols and access control procedures to prevent unauthorized entry
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying and addressing potential theft or vandalism
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff as needed while maintaining security standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents and interacting with the public. Fluent in English is a MUST.
- Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods during shifts
- Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- MB Security Guard license is required prior to employment.
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
