Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Supervisor to lead our retail sales team and drive store performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven track record in retail management. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service to meet sales targets and enhance the overall shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and prior supervisory experience are highly valued to effectively engage with diverse customer bases and team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the retail sales team to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including merchandising, pricing, and inventory management.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff through effective training & development programs.
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and budgeting.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote products and increase store traffic.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and facilitate team meetings to foster a positive work environment.
- Monitor sales performance metrics using POS systems; analyze data to inform purchasing decisions and store management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling, cashiering procedures, and safety protocols.
- Assist in interviewing potential candidates for retail positions to build a strong team aligned with company standards.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in retail sales or store management roles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic bookkeeping; administrative experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of sales management, marketing strategies, pricing, purchasing, and budgeting processes.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to handle customer service issues professionally.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail; excellent time management skills are essential. Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
