Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Labour with PVC extrusion experience to lead our team in a dynamic warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to quality, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily tasks while fostering a positive work atmosphere that encourages teamwork and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations within the warehouse, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections of products and processes to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Supervise and train team members in the use of hand tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication techniques.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory management, measurements, and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production schedules and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including equipment maintenance and employee performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and suggestions from team members.
Skills
- Proficient in quality inspection techniques with an eye for detail.
- Experience in fabricating components using various hand tools and machinery.
- Strong background in warehouse operations with an understanding of logistics.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and inventory management.
- Familiarity with machining processes, including CNC operation.
- Solid mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency within the team.
- Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools accurately.
This is a full time position, Students are not the right fit for this role.
