Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in dental or medical office settings is highly valued, along with proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and confirm patient visits
- Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix and Epic
- Verify insurance details and process billing or payments accordingly
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations to optimize office workflow
- Maintain organized front desk area and ensure all patient forms are completed correctly
- Handle correspondence, emails, and other administrative communications
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient practice operations
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Cleardent and Recall Max is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dental care enhances communication with staff and patients
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and managing front desk operations in a healthcare setting
- Strong office experience including handling multi-line phone systems, appointment scheduling, and administrative support
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
