JOB DESCRIPTION
Through the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will support the daily operations of the hotel with the use of preventative maintenance routines.
- Complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, repairs to pipe lines, toilets, sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment, etc. Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned.
- Complete all assigned work orders and preventative maintenance record logs, time sheets.
- Monitor efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, guests entrance/access doors, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/or replacements to ensure proper operation and maximum efficiency.
- Maintain front entrance area, parking lot and street entrance in a safe, clean and presentable manner.
- Assists in checking and makes repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility, grounds, pool and exercise/sport facilities (including property signs and lighting)
- Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
- Performs housekeeping duties within the shops, mechanical and electrical rooms and orders spare parts to maintain normal stock levels.
- Maintain chemical levels and cleanliness of the swimming pool including vacuuming, skimming, regular testing and logging of chemical levels, adjusting feed and bleed. Equipment and adding chemicals as required.
- Operate the hotel shuttle, transferring guests to and from the airport.
- Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions and/or requests to ensure high guest satisfaction.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- Perform other duties as assigned. In carrying out your duties you will follow all Company Brand Standards
Other Requirements
- Carrying, lifting, pulling or pushing items weighing up to 100-300 pounds
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
- Remain stationary for extended periods of time
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
- Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling
- Good communication skills, attention to detail and customer service skills
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized in order to document or record all tasks completed, to order supplies, to receive their instructions for the day or to read equipment repair manuals
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, are used frequently.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean record.
Work Schedule
The successful applicant will be required to work AM or PM shifts, weekends, and/or holidays
