Position: Product Specialist
Overview: The Product Specialist at Nerval Corporation is responsible for reviewing floor plans, performing quantity takeoffs, creating detailed price proposals, and collaborating with other specialists to provide comprehensive solutions for our clients. This role is essential in supporting the estimating and design functions within the Sales & Marketing division, ensuring accurate and high-quality interior fixture designs for all Nerval's products & serving offering for the supply & install of fixtures, including shower doors, mirrors, bathroom hardware, window coverings, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Floor Plan Review:
- Review and analyze architectural floor plans and blueprints.
- Identify client needs and requirements for interior fixture designs based on floor plans.
- Quantity Takeoffs:
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for all Nerval's products & serving offering for the supply & install of fixtures, including shower doors, mirrors, bathroom hardware, window coverings, and more.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in quantity calculations to support pricing and proposals.
- Price Proposals:
- Prepare and submit detailed price proposals for interior fixture products to clients.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Develop competitive cost estimates for projects.
- Proposal Compilation:
- Compile comprehensive proposals for clients, including detailed cost estimates and timelines.
- Ensure all proposals are accurate, professional, and meet client requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales team to present proposals to clients.
- Client Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on interior fixture designs.
- Make revisions to proposals based on client feedback and preferences.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, production, and service management, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Work cooperatively with the Project Coordination team to support project timelines and address any issues or challenges that arise.
- Facilitate effective communication and cooperation among team members.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all quantity takeoffs, price requests, and proposals.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quantity takeoffs and price proposal preparation, preferably in the interior fixtures industry.
- Strong proficiency in design and estimating software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
