Job Description: General Machinist (Manual Lathe, Mill & Boring Mill)
We are currently seeking a General Machinist with experience on Manual Lathes, Mills & Boring Mills.The ideal candidates should have extensive experience in machining, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Fluency in English, the ability to read technical drawings, interpret sketches (tooling) and proficiency in measuring tools are essential.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in General Machining.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and interpreting sketches.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate measurements.
- Understanding tooling and tooling requirements.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions, efficiently & safely.
Duties (may include):
- Machining parts from customer supplied drawings.
- Making and repairing tooling for the CNC Machines from samples and sketches.
- Machining fixtures (welding experience a definite asset).
- Assembling parts including the use of heat and nitrogen.
- Working with others on large set-ups and complicated machining operations .
- Deburring, Honing and general help when required.
- Ability to work overtime including weekends when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 – 60.0 per week
