Bloom Bakery & Cafe is excited to announce that we will be opening our doors in the coming weeks. As a new 24/7 cafe and bakery concept, we are creating a warm, welcoming space where customers can enjoy fresh pastries, quality coffee, desserts, and food any time of the day or night.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread, adhering to established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision, utilizing cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various baked products
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Package finished products attractively for sale or delivery, ensuring freshness and presentation standards are met
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions about baked goods
Skills
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a bakery or restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
- Excellent attention to detail in decorating cakes and preparing food items
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and interact positively with customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Basic understanding of packaging techniques for baked goods
- Experience in the food industry or kitchen experience is highly desirable
Pay: From $17.85 per hour
