Job Summary
CRCE Construction Group has been operating in the GTHA for over 35 years. We are seeking a team oriented individual to work alongside our in house estimators, focusing on our wet utilites division.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Wet Utilities Civil Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in preparing accurate project cost estimates, supporting project planning, and ensuring competitive pricing for construction projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic construction environment, utilizing your expertise in estimating to contribute to the company's success.
Duties
- Prepare detailed and accurate construction cost estimates using bluebeam, planswift, microsoft and other estimating software.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and scope adjustments.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Assist in the development of project budgets.
- Review and update pricing databases regularly to ensure competitive and current estimates.
- Support project management teams during bidding processes and contract negotiations.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating documentation for future reference and audits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and cost control.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, microsoft, autocad, autodesk, and other relevant estimating software.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Knowledge of construction pricing strategies, market trends, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost analysis and budgeting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Relevant education or certifications in construction management or related fields are preferred. This role is vital for ensuring our projects are accurately estimated, competitively priced, and successfully executed within budget parameters.
