A DAY IN THE LIFE
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the development and day-to-day operations of the service division, balancing leadership, operations, and client growth.
- Build and lead the service team - onboarding, mentoring, and developing technicians
- Oversee daily scheduling, dispatch, and field operations to ensure efficiency and service quality
- Quote service work, manage work orders, and ensure accurate job documentation
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships across commercial, institutional, and residential accounts
- Identify and drive opportunities for maintenance agreements and recurring service contracts
- Monitor division performance, including revenue, margins, and productivity
- Collaborate with leadership to define strategy, pricing, and go-to-market approach
- Implement and optimize service processes, systems, and workflows as the division grows
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Red Seal Journeyman certification (Plumbing, Gas Fitting, or HVAC/Refrigeration) preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 7+ years of mechanical service experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong technical knowledge of plumbing, hydronic heating, and HVAC systems
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage service operations effectively
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license
- Experience with service management software (e.g., Acumatica) is an asset
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience building or scaling a service division or business unit
- Existing client relationships or network within the Lower Mainland
- Exposure to both commercial and residential service environments
