Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and patient Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching novice drivers the essential skills needed to operate a vehicle safely and confidently. This role involves providing clear instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring students meet all licensing requirements. A strong background in tutoring and teaching, along with excellent communication skills, is essential to help students succeed on their driving journey.
Duties
- Conduct driving lessons for students of varying skill levels in a safe and professional manner
- Follow National’s teaching curriculum standard, emphasizing on defensive driving skills
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to improve driving skills
- Prepare students for their driving tests by reviewing traffic laws, safety procedures, and practical skills
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, progress, and student attendance
- Ensure all lessons comply with MTO regulations and safety standards
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages confidence and responsible driving habits
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, especially in classroom or one-on-one settings
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and feedback
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and driving techniques
- Prior classroom experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary
- Patience, professionalism, and the ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background checks and meet all licensing requirements for driving instruction

Pay: $31.00-$33.00 per hour
