MAINTENANCE

This is a senior, hands-on technical role responsible for:
- Maintaining all production equipment
- ·Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
- Supporting CNC and automated equipment
- Leading automation improvements
- Evaluating and integrating new machinery
- Working directly with machine suppliers and software providers
This role will independently manage all aspects of equipment reliability and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose PLC-based machinery and industrial control systems
- Support CNC profile processors and automated fabrication equipment
- Maintain saws, welders, corner cleaners, hardware insertion machines, and IG handling equipment
- Maintain documentation and maintenance schedules
Electrical & Controls
- ·Troubleshoot control panels (24V, 120V, 240V, 480V systems)
- Work with PLCs (troubleshooting required; programming an asset)
- Diagnose sensors, encoders, VFDs, servos, safety relays, and HMIs
- Interface with production software systems where needed
Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes
- Support integration of equipment such as CNC processors (e.g., Graf)
- Assist in software-to-machine integration
- Improve material flow and machine utilization
- Support labeling/barcode integration systems
Capital Equipment & Vendor Management
- Evaluate new machinery and automation opportunities
- Work with suppliers during procurement and installation
- Support commissioning of new equipment
- Coordinate third-party service providers when required
Equipment Environment
Experience with the following is highly desirable:
- CNC profile processing machines (Graf / Urban / Elumatec type)
- Vinyl welders and corner cleaners
- Double-head saws
- Multi-point hardware insertion machines
- Pneumatic and servo-driven systems
- Industrial barcode/labeling systems
- Production software integration (MasterPoint, Paradigm, similar)
Qualifications
- 7+ years industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Comfortable working independently
- Experience in window, door, or building materials manufacturing would be an asset
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
