Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Finisher and Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to concrete finishing, formwork, and general labor duties on commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes, including concrete work, masonry, carpentry, and the operation of heavy equipment. Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes.
- Assist with rebar installation, ensuring proper placement according to schematics and blueprints.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as excavation, lifting, and material transport.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately.
- Perform masonry work, including concrete forming, caulking, and restoration tasks as needed.
- Install flooring and perform renovation tasks to meet project specifications.
- Use carpentry skills for framing, form building, and other related duties.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, rebar installation, masonry, or related construction trades.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and flooring installation tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics for accurate project execution.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to operate heavy equipment responsibly.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet in various weather conditions.
- Experience with restoration work, renovation projects, or concrete forming is a plus.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and flooring installation is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
