The Calgary Stampede Foundation (CSF) is a registered charity committed to providing Albertan's with the opportunity to develop strong roots in their culture and heritage through programs that enhance personal growth, citizenship, and education. Accessible and welcoming to all, programs annually serve over 10,000 youth from southern Alberta. The Foundation promotes western traditions, history and arts through its youth education programs, the historic OH Ranch, and archival collection.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting external donor relations, by providing a quality first impression for all Foundation donors, and event attendees. Internally, the Philanthropy Coordinator provides departmental support in event planning, data management and donor communication. The incumbent will be a self-starter who takes initiative and is able to collaborate with numerous departments across the organization.
The Philanthropy Coordinator will lead the implementation and coordination of donor benefits, recognition, and donor stewardship plans. Responsibilities will also include support for gift entry, donor correspondence and donations reporting.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Support the philanthropy team’s comprehensive stewardship program that builds philanthropic giving and engagement with the Stampede Foundation
- Integrate, systematize and improve stewardship programs through Salesforce
- Provide strong customer service to all Foundation donors
- Work with the philanthropy team to develop, document, record and communicate term sheets and agreements
- Coordinate philanthropy team mailings, donor reporting and data entry projects
- Coordinate and implement acknowledgment, thank you and recognition procedures across all donor levels
- Oversee the distribution of thank you letters, and all other gift acknowledgments
- Support in the development and distribution of annual reports, donor updates, recognition plans and other related correspondence
- Provide support for all donor related events
- Create up to date donor listings and signage for communications and special events
- Coordinate donor signage, temporary and permanent donor walls, and tribute markers
- Record stewardship plans, initiatives, and activities through Salesforce
- Coordinate meetings for the philanthropy team and donors
- Provide administrative support as needed to the Philanthropy team
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of principles and techniques relevant to philanthropic giving
- Understanding of individual donor needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent relationship-building skills, able to interact with all external and internal clients with proven ability to collaborate to achieve results in a diverse workplace
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple requests
- Strong decision-making skills, tactful, good listener, willingness to search out answers, ability to recognize when others need to be involved in activities or decisions
- Professional, outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills and able to exercise appropriate discretion and behavior when dealing with donors, volunteers, staff, board members, and members of the public
- Proven high standard of oral, written and visual communication skills
- Detail orientated, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to anticipate, recognize, and adhere to deadlines
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, working evenings and weekends as the business needs require
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and databases
