Overview
Canadian Poultry Consultants (CPC) is seeking an energetic and resourceful full-time Veterinary Office Administrator to join our poultry-focused veterinary practice in Abbotsford, BC. We provide poultry health expertise and poultry-related research to all sectors of the commercial poultry industry including hatcheries, feed mills, processors, and marketing boards. This position is vital in providing administrative support and is a key member of the CPC professional team. The ideal candidate must be organized, personable, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service to our clients. Experience in managing a veterinary practice is viewed as an asset. Training will be provided.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Interact directly with clients in a compassionate and professional manner
- Greet clients and address their needs
- Answer phones, take messages and direct calls
- Manage courier shipments, domestic and international
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of common workplace areas
- Provide inventory management by receiving supplies, ordering and managing stock
- Support the practice philosophy of exemplary customer service, safe & wholesome food production, and animal welfare
- Obtain relevant case histories
- Manage submission forms, lab reports and medical records
- Enter, retrieve and utilize data in the Case Submission database software
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
Experience
- Prior experience working in a veterinary clinic or livestock management is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards animals and clients are essential
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the needs of the practice

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
