Our Grande Prairie paving crew is looking for an experienced screed operator .
Applicants must:
- Be willing to travel with crews, as projects and locations may vary throughout the summer.
- Must be in good physical condition, stamina, and able to meet the demands of the job with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Have the ability to take direction and follow instructions, completing tasks in an efficient manner and to the required standards.
- Able to maintain reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Must be able to work long hours in inclement weather.
- Be willing to work flexible hours and overtime.
- Have a reliable source to get to the job site.
- Must have an understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Have a positive attitude, self-confident, self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a screed operator preferred.
- Experience operating various types of paver screeds an asset
- Ability and knowledge to create positive drainage.
- Familiar with screed automatics.
- Must have the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in various locations.
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license.
- Pre-Employment drug screening in effect.
