MDS Coating is looking for a talented Engineer to grow our Manufacturing Quality team in Slemon Park, PEI!

The Manufacturing Quality team oversees program management, production quality, and continuous improvement initiatives for programs in Full Rate Production. The team leads quality improvement activities while maintaining close collaboration with customers to manage dispositions, address requests, and implement process changes.
In this advanced manufacturing environment, you will play a key role on the team and will be expected to develop strong technical expertise in our technologies. Your innovative problem-solving abilities will support complex manufacturing processes that are evolving toward greater automation. Success in this role will depend on your ability to collaborate effectively with Engineers and Production Leads to drive root cause investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
This role requires the successful candidate to be onsite frequently during business hours – flexible scheduling may be available following the six-month probationary period.

What we are looking for:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience and/or education in project management and production improvement
- Demonstrated ability to understand manufacturing operations and design, either from classroom or direct work experience, preferred
- Technical skills to review and interpret drawings, write engineering reports, and develop manufacturing and process engineering skillsets
- Coordination skills to manage and synchronize multiple complex tasks simultaneously and keep stakeholders in the loop on status
- Communication skills to gather and provide feedback from various project stakeholders, write create clear work instructions and process documentation
- Interpersonal skills, demonstrating a keen ability to connect, communicate, resolve conflicts, and motivate others to achieve project goals
- Experience working with gas turbines or within the aerospace sector and in a quality assurance regulated environment preferred
- Knowledge of PVD or CAPVD considered an asset
- Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for Controlled Goods
