Overview
We are seeking a skilled, RED SEAL Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a Red Seal Certificate, strong mechanical background and a passion for automotive repair.
Duties
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, wheel alignments and a/c repairs
- Diagnose and repair all types of faults, mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles
- Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure excellent customer service
- Lift heavy parts or equipment when necessary
Skills
- Ability to maintain and repair all types/makes of vehicles efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems
- Experience working in an automotive repair shop is required
- Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Valid BC drivers license to do road tests and have safe driving skills
- Capability to assemble and disassemble vehicle parts as required
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour (negotiable - depending on experience)
Expected hours: 40 per week
