Role Description
This hybrid contract role, based in Ottawa, ON is an 8-week Canada Summer Job funded position.
With the option for some remote work, this role focuses on coordinating all social media efforts and promoting Out to Play's programs and initiatives, with a focus on summer camp. The role includes working at two locations each week, with one day remote work.
The Social Media Coordinator will organize public awareness assets, and create engaging digital storytelling to connect with families and advocate for child-centred learning through play on the land. Collaboration with the team to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals will be a key responsibility.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Social Media Content Creation and Social Media Marketing
- Competency in photography and editing
- Strong, engaging skills in Writing and effective Communication
- Experience and understanding of Digital Marketing strategies
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Familiarity with analytics tools to track and evaluate social media performance
- Knowledge of community building, with a preference for experience engaging with youth and families
- Passion for outdoor learning, education, and environmental sustainability is a strong asset
- Current enrollment in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
