Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to warehouse employees performing duties related to moving finished product and inventory within the manufacturing facility in a safe and efficient manner. The Warehouse Supervisor will also work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure raw materials are supplied to the production floor in a timely manner. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing and leading the department in day to day activities to ensure accuracy, quality, and safety, and for training, developing, and supervising the shipping/receiving team,
JOB DUTIES

Manage/lead the team

Schedule and coordinate both inbound and outbound carriers and couriers.

Inspect and verify incoming goods, report damages or discrepancies, and label inventory.

Determine the best method of shipment for outgoing goods to maintain a high level of accuracy.

Liaise with Sales and Purchasing teams at all Norseman locations to ensure smooth transfer and shipment of goods.

Maintain product control within the Norseman networked system to form a cohesive flow for materials in Microsoft AX

Liaise with production to fulfill raw material demand and yield finished goods into AX inventory.

Address warehouse delivery issues and respond to sales staff or purchasing in a timely manner.

Conduct inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.

Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements

Responsible for ensuring that the warehouse is properly stocked with all shipping and receiving materials supplies

Maintain all required paperwork and adequate records for reporting and tracking

Receive inventory into AX and control storage location of inventory as demand requires.

Compare goods received against purchase order in AX to verify costs.

Train all warehouse and shipping staff in locating raw materials and finished goods.

Supervise, train and direct warehouse staff and assign duties as required.

conduct performance reviews for direct reports, Monitor employee’s attendance and productivity

Responsible for hiring and onboarding to ensure appropriate staffing levels.

Control physical inventory movements of raw and finished good within the warehouse and accurate correspondence of details/movements into AX database.

Accurately pick outgoing orders and pack appropriately for shipping.

Maintains safe work practices by using all required safety equipment and ensuring safety policies and practices are adhered to.

Comply with safety rules; report all accidents, incidents and potential hazards immediately.
REQUIREMENTS

3+ years warehouse and shipping/receiving experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

2+ years in a supervisory role within a warehouse/manufacturing environment required

Forklift certification with 3 years of forklift operation experience

Experience with inventory management programs and software

Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Proven attention to detail and accuracy with numbers

Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
