Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Facilities & Storage Programs to plan and lead integrity-driven maintenance projects across liquids pipeline facilities, including tank inspection, refurbishment, storage maintenance, and related project execution activities.(Hybrid, Edmonton or Calgary)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 7+ years of progressively detailed design, project management, field engineering, or field management experience, depending on technical education, accreditations, and competency development.
- Experience in engineering, construction, and field operations.
- Experience with API 653 tank maintenance, Internal Inspection & Refurbishment programs.
- Experience with Small Tanks & Pressure Vessels programs.
- Experience with CSA Z341 Oil Storage Maintenance.
- Experience supporting integrity-driven maintenance projects within liquids pipeline systems.
- Plan and lead multiple Facilities & Storage Programs projects across integrity-driven maintenance programs.
- Confirm project scope with sponsors and coordinate change approvals.
- Develop cost estimates for budgeting, approvals, scope changes, and potential project opportunities.
- Work with the FASP team and internal stakeholders to complete and review weekly and monthly project reporting.
- Partner with Field Cost Analysts and Project Controls Analysts to track project performance, update spend profiles, facilitate change orders, and approve invoices.
- Analyze schedule and budget risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure work orders and purchase orders are tracked, closed, and financially reconciled.
- Coordinate project financial close-out activities.
- Support supply chain activities, including contract preparation, purchase order awards, RFP development, proposal evaluation, contract negotiation, and work order requests.
- Initiate material requisitions, evaluate material quotes, assist with negotiations, approve purchase orders, and monitor change requests.
- Work closely with Project Engineers to finalize repair scope and manage engineering contractors through construction package delivery and material purchase requirements.
- Manage project resource requirements, including internal support teams, engineering consultants, and field contractors.
- Coordinate out-of-service and return-to-service planning, pre-construction tasks, project updates, deliverable reviews, and lessons-learned activities.
- Partner with Construction Coordinators to develop, communicate, and execute daily and weekly field plans.
- Create outage plans, coordinate pre-construction deliverables, and establish contractor scheduling and interaction plans.
- Review inspector reports and evaluate construction progress using cost and schedule tracking tools.
- Adjust construction activities as required and communicate changes to stakeholders and sponsors.
- Work with Quality Advisors and Construction Coordinators to ensure contractor quality plans are approved, followed, documented, and corrected where required.
- Support safety teams in maintaining a strong safety culture and zero recordable incidents.
- Confirm contractor safety plans are submitted and approved before construction.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and provide immediate feedback on deficiencies.
