About the Role
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and confident Compliance Manager to join our leadership team.
This role is ideal for an experienced Alberta real estate professional who has a strong understanding of industry regulations, professional standards, and brokerage operations. You will play an important role in supporting agents, navigating compliance matters, assisting with dispute resolution, and helping maintain the high professional standards our brokerage is known for.
This position works closely with brokerage leadership, REALTORS®, outside brokerages, the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton (RAE), and RECA.
Position Details
- Schedule: Flexible part-time hours (20–30 hours/week)
- Hours: Monday–Friday during regular business hours, with rotating evening/weekend on-call support approximately once per month
- Compensation: Competitive and flexible based on experience
- Additional Opportunity: Applicants may continue actively selling real estate while in this role
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting agents with compliance-related questions and concerns
- Assisting with broker-to-broker dispute resolution
- Addressing consumer complaints and file concerns
- Liaising with RECA, RAE Professional Standards, and other regulatory bodies
- Managing communication related to legal matters, insurance claims, and file disputes
- Assisting with multiple-offer situations and transaction guidance
- Participating in agent training, education, and professional development
- Updating brokerage policies and procedures as needed
- Working collaboratively with leadership and administrative teams
What We’re Looking ForRequired:
- Minimum 5 years of active licensed residential real estate experience in Alberta
- Strong understanding of Alberta real estate regulations and industry practices
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- High attention to detail and professionalism
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Office 365
Preferred:
- Associate Broker education or designation
- Experience with Professional Standards, Arbitration, or RECA-related committees
- Experience working with compliance, mediation, or regulatory matters
- Knowledge of Lone Wolf software is considered an asset (training provided)
