Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to ensure food safety and sanitation
- Support cooking processes by handling ingredients, portioning, and plating dishes efficiently
- Operate dishwashing machinery and hand-wash cookware and utensils to uphold hygiene standards
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Aid in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Support catering and special event setups as needed to enhance guest experiences
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, catering, or dietary departments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Strong knife skills for food prep tasks and familiarity with basic cooking methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests and supporting colleagues
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
