Position Overview
Community Traffic Control is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our operations team through project coordination, dispatching, scheduling, and traffic management planning. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating field operations, creating Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), managing project documentation, and ensuring crews and clients receive exceptional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch traffic control personnel and equipment to project sites
- Develop, review, and maintain Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
- Utilize Invarion software to create professional traffic control and traffic management plans
- Manage project schedules and resource allocation to meet client requirements
- Communicate with clients, contractors, municipalities, and internal teams regarding project needs and updates
- Track project progress and assist with project management activities
- Prepare work orders, project documentation, and supporting records
- Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met
- Support field operations by responding to scheduling changes and operational requirements
- Maintain accurate records and reporting within company systems
Qualifications
- Experience in project coordination, dispatching, logistics, traffic control, or a related field
- Experience creating Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
- Proficiency with Invarion software is required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Knowledge of BC traffic control regulations and industry standards is considered an asset
- Experience within the traffic control, construction, or utility industries is preferred
