Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Deli Associate to join our team!
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and serve deli items such as oven roasted chicken, salads, sandwiches, and hot foods (using a rational oven, pizza oven, and deep fryer). Candidate must be able to follow recipes, and display items in a visually appealing way for customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area.
- Assist customers with product selection and provide excellent customer service.
- Operate deli equipment, including slicers.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper storage and sanitization.
- Monitor inventory levels of deli items/supplies.
- Order stock from various suppliers each week.
- Put away orders and report any shortages or short dated items that were received.
- Communicate effectively with other deli staff to promote productivity.
Applicants need to have:
- Previous deli experience is REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Food Safety Certificate
- Willingness to be cross-trained in other departments
