## Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over short distances while adhering to all safety regulations.
Hauling 1 intermodal container per day (20 & 53 foot trailers). Lethbridge to Calgary and back (approx. 6-7 hour round trip including yard time). Monday to Friday. Depart Lethbridge ~2am, back to Lethbridge by ~8am. Pay is $200 per trip; truck, fuel etc provided.
## Responsibilities
- Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to transport goods to various locations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
## Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Nice-to-have skills: Heavy equipment operation, experience with freight transportation, basic automotive repair knowledge, forklift operation proficiency
