Production Office Administrator – Materials & Logistics

We are seeking a Production Office Administrator - Materials & Logistics
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING OFFICE
Requirements:
- Experience: Min.3 years
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is an asset
- Experience with logistics coordination and documentation for local and cross border shipments is an asset
- Must have a strong mathematics background (ability to work with dimensions- imperial and metric)
- Must be well organized
- General office equipment, Email, Electronic scheduler, MS Word, Excel, Accounting software, MRP software (Proficiency in Excel is mandatory)
- Good communication and writing skills
- Experience with MRP software (i.e. JobBOSS) is an asset
- Must have
- Mathematics proficiency is required for this position and will be tested in the interview.
- Must be able to multitask in fast paced environment
- Must be fluent in English, written and oral.
- Ability to read shop drawings is a strong asset
Area of Specialization: Production order processing and shipping admin
Duties:
- Receive phone/fax/Internet orders and process.
- Perform simple calculations to determine blank sizes for production of metal parts.
- Use MRP software to prepare orders for production Prepare production labels
- Monitor orders in production
- Coordinate and prepare paperwork for local and cross county/border shipments
- Prepare packing slips for goods produced and shipped Update inventories of products produced and shipped.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure jobs/projects are completed on time
- Coordinate shipments to across Canada and the U.S. (including preparation for shipping and customs documentation)
- Order supplies (i.e. Issue purchase orders) and maintain inventory.
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents.
- Maintain and prepare reports using JobBOSS production software.
- Create reports using Excel
- Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing
- Prepare inventory labels (for components and finished products)
- Count hardware and accessories for projects using a counting scale
- Prepare part labels using a barcode printer
- Coordinate and prepare paperwork for local and cross county/border shipments
- Assist other departments (i.e. Accounting, marketing, etc.) with clerical tasks
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Concord, Ontario
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Security and Safety: Bondable, Must have safety shoes
