Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic & Welder to join our team. This role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment, along with performing welding and fabrication work as needed. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and able to handle both mechanical and structural tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Duties
- Diagnose and repair trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, suspension, etc.)
- Inspect vehicles to ensure safety and operational standards
- Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues
- Maintain service records and report issues
Welding & Fabrication
Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Fabricate, modify, and repair metal structures and equipment
- Repair frames, trailers, and damaged components
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
- Ensure all welding meets safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanic and/or welder
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Welding certification (preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 is an assets
