Project Manager
We are presently seeking a Project Manager who will work with other team members to successfully manage and oversee execution of assigned projects from initiation through to completion of construction, start-up and commissioning. Reporting to the Director of Project Management and Supply Chain, the Project Manager ensures all contracted work is executed in accordance with the Company’s policies, including contract documents, budget, schedule, safety, quality control and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct projects from initiation to completion through various established or directed project methodologies
- Understand and monitor project scope, budgets and schedules with refinement throughout the project lifecycle
- Review, understand and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, terms and specifications
- Facilitate and negotiate change order opportunities.
- Investigate actual costs vs budget project costs using ERP System and other costing tools
- Create and maintain internal and external documents pertaining to planning, scheduling, risks, opportunities and project status
- Upkeep project management tools to meet department schedule and meeting requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams, with clear communication and collaboration among all members to ensure project deliverables met within the project schedule.
- Monitor construction progress to identify and resolve potential discrepancies, scope creep and time lost
- Handle external communications to the various cross function teams for support to project inquiries and issues
- Plan and coordinate project start-up and system commissioning based on requirements and ensure all key project documents are prepared and available as required.
- Other duties as reasonably assigned.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; work experience with wastewater construction projects considered an asset.
- Strong planning, time management and organizational skills.
- Supervisory and contract/vendor management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Able to manage multiple projects and tasks at a time.
- Able to meet sensitive timelines.
- Proficiency with MS Office software; experience in Smartsheet & Epicor is considered an asset.
- Possess valid Driver’s License.
- Able to travel to project locations in Canda/USA, as required.
- Desire to continually develop professional skills.
Competitive salary and compensation package is available. Salary is commensurate with experience.
