Qualifications – Ontario Long-Term Care Home
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum of 2 years of Long-Term Care (LTC) nursing experience required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3 months with the possibility of extension
- Ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities
Registered Practical Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide high-quality nursing care and ongoing assessments for residents in a Long-Term Care setting
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring resident responses and documenting outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely resident documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Assist with health promotion, infection prevention, and resident safety initiatives
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while supporting residents and their families
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Canadian Long-Term Care nursing experience (required)
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment

- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and medication administration
